With EMC World a short 9 days away, I wanted to highlight a breakout session that will be presented by one of our top Microsoft engineers at EMC. Unified Storage – Next Generation Hyper-V Performance and Best Practices will provide a technical overview of Microsoft virtualization concepts and design considerations for deploying virtual machines on EMC VNX arrays. This includes looking at how Microsoft virtualization architecture works, features of Hyper-V, an overview of EMC's VNX product line and specific features that compliment Microsoft Hyper-V. Best practices such as storage sizing, VM placement, performance considerations and Hyper-V provisioning will also be covered.
Dave "Butch" Butchart is a senior manager in EMC Unified Storage partner engineering team working directly with Microsoft so he has extensive experience with these technologies so you won't want to miss this one. The session will be repeated so you can catch it on Wednesday May 11th at 11:30AM or Thursday May 12th at 1PM.
See you there!
