Microsoft Management Summit (MMS) starts next week (March 21st -24th) and EMC is working hard on all the details to make it a success! EMC will be a Gold Level Sponsor (booth #409, come by and see us!) and we are working on everything from demos (10+ in the booth), to the breakout session presentation, to several theatre presentations as well as setting up side meetings with many customers and partners. Oh yeah…and attending a session or two. Considering it is in Vegas we may have to wait until we get home to sleep!
If you're not familiar with it, MMS is Microsoft's annual show focused primarily on Microsoft's management strategy including System Center products, Windows Server\Hyper-V and Cloud technologies. What I like about MMS is that the content tends to be more technical and less marketing and it focuses specifically on virtualization and management technologies. Microsoft has been working on some exciting management updates lately including the integration of Opalis so I'm excited to see what they announce and showcase at the show this year!
So what will EMC's focus be this year? We will showcase how our new Unified Storage technologies integrate with Microsoft technologies to simplify infrastructure management for small and large companies. Specifically our demos and presentations will highlight:
- Simplified management of cloud and virtualized Microsoft environments.
- Understand how to use Microsoft virtualization and EMC technologies for high performance, automated failover and failback, simplified provisioning, and virtual storage provisioning.
- Leverage EMC integration with Microsoft virtualization and management technologies.
- Lower cost and gain operational efficiency across your virtualized Microsoft application environments.
- Deliver simplified management, automated replication, and tiered storage infrastructure using EMC's new unified storage platforms, VNX and VNXe.
- Application based best practices and design recommendations when virtualizing with Hyper-V.
Check back daily this week for more updates including a list of our demos, our presentations and other useful information about the show!
