SQL Server 2008 R2 Blog Post

While not virtualization related, I did want to share with you a guest blog post that I submitted to the SQL Server team regarding the recent release of SQL Server 2008 R2 and specifically around the new Parallel Data Warehouse (PDW) solution.  The URL to the SQL Server team blog site can be found here: http://blogs.technet.com/dataplatforminsider/ in which I highlight EMC's excitement to work with Microsoft on a PDW solution!  The combination of EMC's highly available performance driven arrays along with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (and Dell for the server component) is a perfect fit for supporting these performance intensive and highly scalable data warehouse environments.  We will be placing these PDW appliances in select Microsoft Technology Centers (MTCs) to support customer demos or POCs and expect to see more information from EMC and Microsoft in the weeks\months to come!
